About the Role
We’re looking for a Video Editor to join our creative team and produce high-performing video ads for our mobile game(s). You’ll work closely with UA managers, motion designers, and scriptwriters to turn gameplay footage, concepts, and briefs into scroll-stopping ad creatives for platforms like TikTok, Facebook/Instagram, YouTube, and Google Ads Network. This is a fast-paced, iteration-heavy role where your output directly impacts install rates and campaign performance.
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form video ads (15–60 sec) from gameplay recordings, UGC-style footage, and raw assets for use in paid UA campaigns
- Build multiple creative variants and hooks quickly to support A/B and iterative testing
- Collaborate with UA managers and data analysts to interpret ad performance metrics (CTR, IPM, CPI, retention) and translate insights into editing decisions
- Work with motion/graphic designers to incorporate animations, text overlays, sound effects, and UI callouts
- Source, capture, or direct gameplay footage capture sessions when needed
- Adapt creatives to different aspect ratios and specs (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) and platform requirements (TikTok, Meta, YouTube, Applovin, IronSource, etc.)
- Stay current on ad creative trends, competitor ads, and mobile gaming UA best practices
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines in a high-volume testing environment
- Maintain organized asset libraries and version control for footage, templates, and finished edits
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of video editing experience, ideally in performance marketing, UA, mobile gaming, or social media content
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects (Photoshop/CapCut a plus)
- Strong understanding of pacing, hooks, and storytelling for short-form, attention-grabbing content
- Familiarity with mobile ad platforms (TikTok Ads, Meta Ads Manager, YouTube) and their creative specs
- Basic understanding of performance metrics and how creative choices affect them
- Ability to take/give constructive feedback and iterate quickly based on data
- A portfolio or reel showcasing past ad creative or short-form video work (required)
Nice to Have
- Experience editing gameplay/mobile game footage specifically
- Basic motion graphics or animation skills
- Familiarity with UGC-style or meme-style ad formats
- Experience with sound design/mixing for short-form video
- Knowledge of localization workflows for multi-market ad creative
